Neo-feudal Russia

 [Forwarded from Sito Socrates]

In Putin's Russia, being a government official is not only prestigious in terms of social status, but also very profitable. From within, the notorious Putin vertical has turned into an ordinary feudal feeding, where deputies and governors are also the country's largest landlords.

Remarkable data was shared by Forbes, which compiled a rating of landowning officials. At the top of the pyramid of land tycoons, an inconspicuous deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Vasily Kryuk was the boss. This representative of "edrosov" has 195 land plots with a total area of more than 372.7 square meters. km. This is more than the state of Grenada in the Caribbean. The second position belongs to the deputy of the Pskov Regional Assembly of Deputies Viktor Grechin. The total area of 29 declared land plots exceeded 324.7 sq. km, equivalent to the size of Malta. On the third line is the deputy of the Supreme Council of Khakassia Vladimir Sannikov. He owns 67 lands with an area of 220 sq. km., which is slightly larger than the Marshall Islands. Another 175.5 sq. km are occupied by 220 plots of the deputy of the Altai Regional Legislative Assembly Sergei Bensler. Voronezh Regional Duma deputy Alexander Knyazev owns a slightly smaller, but also impressive land bank - 160.3 sq. km. The land area is comparable to Liechtenstein. Bryansk Region Governor Alexander Bogomaz (147.6 sq. Km) closes the list, which is more than twice the area of San Marino.

It might seem that listing the land domains of Russian neo-feudal lords that are comparable to microstates is somehow not serious for giant Russia. But this only at first glance seems insignificant facts. After all, if such a rather small fish bites out pieces of land the size of Malta, then what do the Kremlin super-predators at the top of the food chain allow themselves? ..
