Give Georgia a chance!

Look, it's not such a bad Georgia.

Not the most terrible country in the world.

Well, yes, there is a disgusting Saakashvili, but in general the Georgians look pretty good against the backdrop of the rest of the Caucasus and Transcaucasia. Christians again.

Georgia has big problems. Very big. A third of the country's territory has not been subordinated to the central government for many years.
Would it please us if the Urals and Western Siberia, formally entering the Russian Federation, actually lived on their own? That's the same.
And the Georgians are also bitter and hurtful.
And Russia in this sense behaves ugly and inconsistently. On the one hand, it recognizes the territorial integrity of Georgia (always and everywhere, in any statements of officials), on the other hand it supports and finances the questionable regimes of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Has given all our passports.

Now we have introduced troops to where?
To Georgia!
And where are we fighting?
On the territory of Georgia!
Yes, our citizens are dying there. But our citizens are doing so in Georgian territory so much ?!

We all understand this, but we say many different words to deceive ourselves.
Accordingly, Georgians also understand this. This whole situation has been the main and only issue of Georgia's internal political agenda for many years.
In any election, voters ask the only question to the candidates: How are you going to restore the integrity of the country?
Candidates have been responding for many years: We will unite the entire Georgian nation! We will revive Georgia! We will restore our borders!
Logical stage of the political process was the coming to power of the Europeanized Hitler - Saakashvili.

He really united the nation. And even returned part of the country - Adjaria, expelling the corrupt government of Abashidze (which, by the way, was sheltered and gave new businesses to Luzhkov).
Could the Georgian Gislingler stop there? Of course not!
He can raise the economy as much as he likes, disperse the traffic police and drive out thieves from the country in law (again, pushing them out to Russia).
But they expect from him only one: the return of land.
If he does not make attempts in this direction, he does not need Georgians and is not interesting to Georgian politicians.
So he made an attempt. And he will do it again. And again, and again.

And if he resigns, or gets poisoned, or he is banged - anyway, any of his successors will be engaged only in order to return the territories.
Georgia will live for many more years in a semi-military situation, to grow poor, to build up a military budget, to try to find us American men and Europeans.
That is, engage in all this nonsense, instead of living and making good.
I repeat, there is no other scenario and it can not be. The Georgian people can never accept the fact that part of his country is occupied.

So let's give Georgia a chance.
Russia should give Georgia a chance.
The chance to return to normal life and get out of this endless paramilitary nightmare. Mindless winding yourself and everyone around.

Russia must stop all military operations on the territory of Georgia!
No Russian soldier should be on Georgian soil!
In order to do this, the top leadership of the Russian Federation must finally decide on a responsible and long overdue decision.
Russia must immediately recognize the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
We must recognize their independence in the name of Georgia.

It is high time for the world, the US, Europe, Russia and Georgia to understand that the separation of these countries is not the scourge of the Russian Federation, but the completion (continuation) of the process of the disintegration of the USSR.
Yes, the Georgians will be very hurt.
But, as the song says: it hurts, but then it's nice.
After a while they will reconcile with inevitability. Understand that you can not restore the past and will live up to your normal life. They will start growing grapes, singing their songs, grazing in the mountains of donkeys, asses and who they are still grazing there. They will develop tourism. Restore the dolphinarium in Batumi. Strengthen the pipeline. Finish with power from the Russian Federation. They will raise the standard of living and, perhaps, the Georgians will cease to wander hundreds of thousands across Russia and stay at home. Will do many good deeds.
With the understanding that there is not a single Russian soldier on the territory of Georgia.

Of course, the issue of territories will always remain on the agenda of the Georgian policy. But gradually, it will cease to be the most important and unique. There will be politicians who will say: yes, yes, of course, treacherous Russia, but let's think about other problems, which are many. These will be normal politicians, not demoniac hysterics with knowledge of English.

The Serbs have lost their country. We wholeheartedly supported the Serbs, but they made this choice themselves. You can write a lot about the pressure, bombing, etc. all this will be very correct. But their overflow is the conscious action of the majority of the population. They said to themselves: fuck! want as Montenegro, we want like the Czech Republic, we want Croatia. We want the euro area. We want visas. We just want to live.
Well, they want, so let them live. We can not be more Serbs than the Serbs themselves.

And the Georgians will be the same.
You can not build a small empire. In the modern world, this does not work.
If a small nation likes to play big politics - it should become a satellite of a big nation. Or become an enemy of a large nation.
But you can not play, but just live.

In addition to Russia, no one will help Georgia.
Only we will give them a chance at a normal life.

Either we tease and harass them: "Yes, yes, this is the territory of Georgia, we admit it! But look what we have cool green tanks on your territory! See how beautiful the airplanes are! See how quickly your boats sink in your own waters." you snap at us? Click on your nose! Flick! Click! Ah, you're complaining ?! Yes, we'll even put you on the toilet bowl! And with America we'll somehow agree. We have our own business: Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan. "

Either we calmly say: "Dudes, our common country has collapsed, no one is to blame for the fact that Abkhazia and South Ossetia have become one of the fragments." We recognize this now, and you will also have to admit it, and realize it, and live with it further. "

Recognition of South Ossetia and Abkhazia is really a decisive and positive step of a great power.
This is much more determined than fighting.
Undoubtedly, we are very happy to see how Saakashvili is afraid of hiding in Gori for protection. We are pleased to realize that Russian weapons are used to protect civilians.
Our military fellows (although personally I would prefer that the ground operation was maximally minimized in favor of air strikes).
But it is clear that this has no prospects. Yes, the Georgians will now be ripped off. So what? They will climb again and we will break them again. And so on ad infinitum.

Only the recognition of independence gives direction to the way out of the crisis. And it will give a legitimate right to our troops to be in these zones.
In addition to saving Georgia, the recognition of South Ossetia and Abkhazia will also give Russia new opportunities. First and foremost, this is an opportunity to deal with the system of power in these republics. With their funding. They arranged semi-gang states there. Taxes in the Russian Federation, of course, do not pay. Pensions are received. The help is received. Nowhere for it is not accountable. Colossal funds go to closed budget items, "through intelligence," "military lines," etc.
It must be done with all this. If any Ryazan or Vologda region received so much money, it would bathe in luxury. And to me, frankly, both the Ryazan and Vologda regions are much nicer than both Ossetia and Abkhazia. Of course, it is necessary to help them. Only to understand on what terms.

So here it is! Let's be noble. Let's pursue a responsible foreign policy. Let's recognize the obvious - the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
Let's love Georgia and give it a chance!

Shl. but in general, it would be good to recognize Transnistria. Moldovans are also worthy of a chance.
